The Schemer

Last night JC was trying to talk on the phone while sitting next to Katie who was trying to play with her cash register (read noisy toy). He asked her not to let it make noise while he was on the phone, but she just couldn't help herself. I heard him say, fine, I'll just move then or some such thing and he left the area. I walked over there a few minutes later to get her ready for bed and she was sitting on her chair next to her table. BEFORE she saw me she was leaning over playing, AFTER she saw me she sat straight up like a shot and put the pouty face on. I don't think that she realized I had already seen her.

When I asked what was wrong she told me that she had given herself a time out because she made the register make noise while Daddy was on the phone. Big eyes looking sadly up at me I thought, WHAT A SCAM ARTIST!!!

I didn't want to let on that I knew she was faking. I figure it's best if she doesn't know that I know. Winky Then I did my own scamming. I told Daddy about the scene but left out the fact that she had been playing two seconds before she saw me. That's what he gets for trying to take a phone call in her area where she was already playing. Roll

Oh damn, Mary, she is GOOD!! When she's a teenager, I'll be glad you're there....not here, where Katie-Boo could maybe, possibly teach my twin niece & nephew (since they're the same age!!)! Sorry to say, I think she'll be like I was as a teenager!! ;-D

Now Dad needs to find a way to get even, only he doesn't know he has a "get even" coming. Poor hubby, always the last to know....

Just wait... it gets better and better. Soon she will be playing you & JC against each other...well she may be already doing that. These stories about Katie are great! I wish I had a blog when Cheyanne was little.

Libby - Not so fast, I was thinking I'd send her to you. :)

Hoss & Huw - I fessed up. Although, Hoss, if you remember correctly I had a get even coming because of the "Evil Mommy" thing.

Kimmy - I did laugh - after I put her to bed!

Debbie - I think you should start a blog now, that way I'll know what to look forward to!
