Okay, maybe I'm not the most compassionate Mom

Is it wrong that while I'm mid-nagging/arguing with my child over eating dinner and she states that she misses her daddy I reply "so do I because then I wouldn't be sitting here telling you to eat, he would"?
I know, real compassionate, but I truly believe that she uses her father as an excuse for bad behavior.
And yes dear, even when you are half a world away, I can still find a way to blame you! It's a gift. Love And Kisses

LOL! That made me laugh.

I remember when my kids would be getting in trouble and they'd say "when is dad going to come home?" and i'd feel horrible because to me it was their way of telling me they wanted to be with their dad more because he wouldn't yell at them.

they know how to work it dont they? make ya feel like crap when you're already down in the dumps.
keep your chin up Mary....it'll be over soon.

Mary: I'm new here. Is your husband over in some damn desert?

I really like the Drama Queen. Such poses!

I shall return, of course. Thanks for chuckles.

My husband is thankfully not in the desert, but is in that seemingly forgotten place called Bosnia. He was deployed to Kosovo for 6 months, extended for 6 months to Bosnia, extended for ??? and then after a meltdown was finally given a date to come home. It should be within the next month or so, but I'm still going with I'll believe it when I see it. We are on 15 months without daddy right now and I cannot wait for it to be over!
