Well, so much for the animal lover

There are times when I think that Katie is going to be one of those kids bringing home strays, she already pretends. She's found a baby ______ (fill it in yourself) and they've lost their parents so she has to take care of him/her.
Then there's days like today. We were at the children's zoo by us and she was going to hold a baby chick in her hands. The woman put the chick in Katie's hand and as soon as she felt the claw she jumped and down went the chick! I was horrified it was going to be hurt. Thankfully it wasn't. I held it for her so she could pet it but I had to calm her down first, she was pretty upset. I don't know if she was more upset because it scared her or because she dropped the chick. Hopefully neither will be scarred. Her chick was put back in the pen after we walked away - it needed a rest.

Poor Katie. Scarred for life. Get her a rattlesnake; they're nice and smooth.

Hoss, she loves snakes. She has a couple various toy snakes. And I know the orange, yellow and white fuzzy one is a rattlesnake. LOL.

I'm sure the chick will be fine, they are pretty resilient. Did I spell that right?

I asked her about the farm today...she said they had only one animal there...A Cow! I kept reiterating my question to her and she said, "Yes, only one animal!" Did she forget the chick or is she Scarred for life! LOL
