I came in late the other night and went in to give Katie a good night kiss. She woke up and we had this conversation which I thought was too cute not to share. Now a warning - I come off looking like chopped liver in this one. :)
Me: Hi Honey, Just wanted to give you a goodnight kiss.
Bug: Well, I want to give you a hug!
After the hug she says:
Bug: I miss my Daddy. It's no fun without him. (Picture pouting and arms crossed.)
Me: You haven't had any fun without him? (chopped liver time)
Bug: No.
Me: I thought we had done some fun stuff since Daddy has been gone.
Bug: We have, and that makes me happy. (Diplomatic beginnings)
Me: But you would have more fun with daddy around, huh?
Bug: Yeah
Okay, we're officially done waiting. Guess it's a good thing that it's almost over. Now does anyone have any idea how I can be more fun? (Picture pouting and arms crossed.)

Libby, we have two cats and we'll get a puppy after JC gets home, so I think she's set with kitties. LOL
Actually, I'll have to post a pic of what she has done to one of my poor cats. When she's tired of playing with her dolls she finds poor Roo. It's quite entertaining.
Yes. Tell her you both are to practice a "get mad at each other." Then practice a "kiss and make up." Followed by cookies and milk, and a talk about how Daddy will soon be home to ruin all your fun.
